A very thin, light, horridly struck American Silver Eagle counterfeit with a date that is 86 years too early. Even the obverse design which was originally used by the Walking Liberty Half Dollar, was not struck until 1916. Needless to say, it is relatively unusual to come across a counterfeit ASE done in this manner.

First, note the absurd date. The first modern American Silver Eagle was minted in 1986.

This counterfeit is nearly in medal alignment. If you place your index finger and thumb at 12 o’clock and 6 o’clock respectively and spin the coin, you’ll notice that both images are right-side up.
